An abridged version of my poem Spade Work was recently published by Espresso Chapbooks, thanks to Bernard Kelly, Rebecca Comay, and Cary Fagan. A copy can be obtained from their website here, or ordered from me by emailing linedufour.tapestry@gmail.com. I will sign and include a personalized message for a mere $10 + the cost of mailing.
On December 8, on official online launch took place and myself, and Conal Smiley, read our respective poems. After, I was interviewed by Stuart Ross, winner of the 2023 Trillium prize. This seemed the perfect choice for me since the first stanza emerged in a poetry class I took with him a year or two ago. Conay Smiley was interviewed by Bruce Whiteman.
Thanks to the invitation of Kathleen Hulley, I gave a reading of the same poem at the Morrin Centre in Quebec City, along with another poet, Loch Baillie, on December 2. After our reading, an open mic component permitted attendees to read one of their poems. It was an excellent turnout, and a pleasure to be this in this beautiful historic wood panelled library room in which you expected historical figures to step from the shelves and dark corners of the facility.
